An ancient land, a diverse culture, a vibrant landscape. India has it all and a n adventure to India should be on any traveler’s agenda. So why not join me in February (19th through the 28th) of 2020 as we travel to the wondrous land of India.

Delhi is the nation’s true cultural melting pot and a boisterous, bustling city of adventure. On our first full day here we’ll go on an exciting rickshaw ride through its teeming streets of color, sights, and sounds.

Have no fear, though as our home base will be the refined and quietly luxurious Grand Hyatt of Delhi.

On our third day we’ll immerse ourselves in this bustling capital city with a tour of Old Delhi. We’ll see the Jama Masjid, their largest mosque. We’ll interact with the locals, explore its narrow streets, and enjoy an authentic meal while we learn all about the difference in curries.

Later we’ll journey to Humayun’s Tomb, the India Gate Memorial, the Parliament Building, the Holy Shrine of Sikhs, and the President’s residence.

On our sixth day we’ll climb aboard a vintage jeep and have a tour of UNESCO World Heritage site, the Amber Fort and we’ll visit a local school whose children will provide a midday program supported by the efforts of the Collette Foundation.

On our seventh day we’ll join a local instructor for a Yoga class and learn basic exercises and breathing techniques. Later we’ll travel to the quaint village of Samode and visit the private retreat of the Royal family.

And of course we’ll spend time at one of the most impressive sites on our planet, the Taj Mahal. Built over 22 years in the 17th Century, the Taj is truly magnificent.
