Reflections of Italy (2015)

Rome, Siena, Florence, Assisi, Venice and Lake Como.  Italy awaits you and Jeanne is just the one to bring it to you in all its glory.  Mark your calendars now for ten day adventure to the see the best Italy has to offer.  April 13th to the 22nd, 2015.

While in Rome we’ll visit the Piazza Venezia, Circus Maximus the Arch of Constantine and of course we’ll have a panoramic tour of Rome.  On day three we’ll take in the medieval town of Perugia, the historic capital of Umbria.  Later we’ll visit the town of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis, and we’ll take in the Basilica of St. Francis.  On day five, we’re off to the incredible cities of Siena and Florence.

Along the way we’ll have great meals courtesy small cafes and bustling ristorantes.  The food in Italy has a gorgeous simplicity and it’s celebrated via small festivals and grand celebrations.

On day seven, we’ll journey through central Italy, cross the heavily wooded Apennine Mountains towards the Po Valley.  We’ll wind through Tuscany and have a delightful lunch with plenty of the local Chianti.

Day seven and eight brings us to Venice and its 150 canals and 400 bridges.

While in Venice we’ll see the famous glass makers of Murano Island

Weather permitting, we’ll have a walking tour of St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Clock Tower with it famous Moors.

 Our last day in Italy will be partly spent in Switzerland!  We’ll travel to the Italian Lake district and see Lake Lugano then return to Italy and spend time in Lake Como where we’ll look for George Clooney ;).
